ParentSquare
ParentSquare is the primary communication platform for Mark Twain and HISD. Families receive important updates from the school, teachers, and PTO, including classroom news, event reminders, and school-wide announcements. ParentSquare also makes it easy to communicate directly with teachers and staff.

Twain Times
The Twain Times is our weekly PTO newsletter, delivered every Tuesday, and your go-to source for everything happening at Mark Twain. Each edition is packed with upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, important reminders, fundraising news, and highlights of our amazing school sponsors who help support our students and community.
Whether you're looking for ways to get involved or simply want to stay up to date, you won't want to miss it!
Current Mark Twain families with a Membership Toolkit account are automatically subscribed to receive the Twain Times each week. Grandparents, alumni, community supporters, prospective families, and others are welcome to create a free Membership Toolkit account and subscribe below to stay connected with the Mark Twain PTO.
Communication Folders
Every other Tuesday, students bring home a Communication Folder filled with important forms, school information, and other materials that can't be sent electronically.
We encourage families to review the contents together, complete any requested forms, and return the folder to your child's teacher on Wednesday. Thank you for helping us keep important information moving between home and school!
PTO Meetings
We'd love to see you at our monthly PTO meetings! They're a great opportunity to hear the latest school updates, learn about upcoming events, connect with other families, and discover ways to get involved in the Mark Twain community.
Can't attend in person? No problem! PTO meetings are also available via Zoom, and meeting minutes are posted online so everyone can stay informed.
Meetings are held on Friday mornings. Join us for Coffee & Conversation beginning at 7:30 a.m., with the PTO meeting starting at approximately 7:45 a.m.
This year, we're excited to introduce our Twain Tigers World Tour! Each meeting will kick off with a special performance or presentation by our talented Twain Tigers, showcasing the incredible students and programs that make our school community so special!
